Built for girls. rooted in community.

We started SSD Lorenza because we wanted girls in Lawrence and Topeka to have a club dedicated to their development and their future in soccer. That means listening to players, communicating openly with families, and making decisions with their long term interests in mind.

We're building from the academy up, with a women's pre professional team joining in Summer 2027. Our goal is to give girls more opportunities to play, progress, and stay connected to soccer in their own communities.

Our Story

The lorenza difference

Your daughter should know where she stands, what she's working toward, and that her coach cares about her progress.

At Lorenza, we take time to explain, give individual feedback, and help players grow into their role. Girls are encouraged to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and make decisions for themselves. Families are part of that environment, helping us build a club where players feel supported and proud to belong.

what players can expect

List of Services

Technical Training & Game Understanding
Players work on their first touch, passing, dribbling, and finishing, then apply those skills against opponents. Coaches explain how to recognize space, support teammates, and choose when to pass, carry, or shoot so players understand the reasons behind their decisions.

Individual Development & Player Reviews
Each player receives feedback based on her own performances, with specific examples of what she does well and where she can improve. Conversations with her coach give her clear next steps and the opportunity to discuss her goals and how she feels about her progress.

A Shared Style of Play
Our teams follow the same playing principles, giving players a consistent foundation as they develop. Training and team match reviews help girls understand their responsibilities, how different positions connect, and how to solve problems together on the field.
